About Me

My name is Nanette and I am an estate sale junkie.  I run them, that is, and I can’t seem to stop.  Maybe it’s for the money they bring me, or maybe it’s for the hidden surprises I find, but for whatever reason, I’m transfixed.  Come with me to see what lies buried in other peoples houses, whether it’s treasure or trash.

    Hi there!
I’m glad I found your blog. Would love to know how you got started in this trade. I am looking to start an estate liquidation business in NC. Do you have any tips for starting? How do you get business?

  4. A blog! cool…looking forward to your talents spreading to the internet and beyond! Miss you in Califa though, but I bet those longs hot days are perfect for tapping away on your keyboard, or rumaging in someone’s closet.

Glad I found you after your email about the survey. Your tongue in cheek comments about how to shop an estate sale are dead on! We’ve experienced all of those things and it’s like people forget how to act and just make their own rules. Let me know how I can help. Regards, Lee totalestatesales.com

I forgot to mention as well that your 14 reasons are dead on as well. I’d use some of it on my web site, but some is a little in your face although 100% true. It seems no matter how hard we try to work, someone always becomes confrontational. Selling people’s possessions is a tricky business. We’ve conducted nearly 100 sale in 3 years, so we’re glad to offer input any time!

    • Lee, Thanks for your feedback! I’m glad you found me, too.
